Summary

Somerset moved to 3-0 on the season with a 21-3 victory over Southwestern at the Reservation on Friday night. Quarterback Guy Turner opened the scoring for the Jumpers with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Alex Decker in the first quarter. Southwestern narrowed the gap before halftime when Harley Wesley connected on a 33-yard field goal. Neither team scored in the third quarter despite several defensive stands and scoring opportunities for the Warriors. Somerset pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 40-yard touchdown reception by Xavier Wooldridge and a late 21-yard rushing score from Turner. Wooldridge also recorded an interception to help secure the result for the visitors.
