Sophia Towne commits to Northwestern women’s basketball for 2027

Sophia Towne, a 2027 combo guard from Nazareth Academy in Illinois, has committed to Northwestern University. The 5-10 guard chose Northwestern after her official visit, stating the campus and coaching staff felt like a family. Under first-year head coach Carla Berube, the Wildcats are focused on rebuilding the program. Towne, who played point guard in high school, looks forward to competing in the Big Ten and is excited about the opportunity to play close to home. She hopes to build relationships with the coaching staff and improve her game during her time at Northwestern.
