Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl retain European Para-cycling title in Italy

Sophie Unwin and pilot Jenny Holl successfully defended their European Para-cycling road race title at the 2026 UEC Para-cycling Road European Championships in Italy. The duo, who previously won gold at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, overcame a narrow time trial defeat to Ireland's Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly to emerge victorious in the road race. In total, Great Britain claimed 18 medals, including three golds at the event. Unwin and Holl will race separately at next month's Commonwealth Games before reuniting for the Para-cycling Road World Cup in September.
