Sophomore Brisyn Brown transitions to quarterback for Florida High Seminoles

Florida High sophomore Brisyn Brown has moved from his traditional running-back position to serve as the team’s starting quarterback. The transition follows an injury to junior starter Jayme Miller, who previously earned 2025 All-Big Bend second-team honors. In two games this season, Brown has completed 17 of 23 passes for 276 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He recently led the Seminoles to a 24-14 victory over the Lawton-Chiles High School Timberwolves at Stan Goldstein Field despite four first-half turnovers. The team moves to 2-0 on the season and prepares for a road game against the 2-0 South Walton Seahawks this Friday, Sept. 4. Kickoff for the contest at South Walton High School is scheduled for 8 p.m.
