Sophomore Ziyare Addison starts at left tackle for Oregon football

Sophomore Ziyare Addison earned the starting left tackle position for Oregon in the team's 2026 season opener against Boise State. Addison played every offensive snap in the 34-27 victory, providing protection for quarterback Dante Moore during his 378-yard passing performance. While outside expectations previously placed junior Fox Crader in the role, Addison secured the spot after consistently working with the first-team offensive line during fall camp. Head coach Dan Lanning noted that Addison’s improved process and consistency during the offseason facilitated his promotion to the starting unit. Oregon, currently 1-0, travels to face Oklahoma State this Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. Addison aims to maintain his position on the depth chart throughout the remainder of the season.
