Tacoma’s SoundView Little League defeated Phenix City Youth Baseball (AL), 2-0, in the 2026 Little League World Series opener in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on August 19. Pitchers Frankie McCabe and Winston Weaver combined for a strong performance, throwing seven scoreless innings. The scoring came in the seventh inning, when Kasen Workman’s single drove in two runs amid an Alabama error. SoundView, representing the Northwest, will now advance to face Boerne (TX) on August 21.
