Pitso Mosimane has returned as head coach of the South Africa men's national team, more than 14 years after his initial tenure concluded. The 62-year-old was officially unveiled to the media in Johannesburg on Tuesday following his appointment by the South Africa Football Association executive committee. He replaces Hugo Broos, who vacated the position following the expiration of his contract at the end of July. Broos guided the team to a third-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and to the last 32 of this year's World Cup. Mosimane previously led the national side from July 2010 to June 2012, before finding success at the club level with Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly. Terms of his new contract remain undisclosed as he begins his second stint in charge of Bafana Bafana.
