South Dakota State soccer match against Idaho canceled due to weather

The South Dakota State soccer match against Idaho, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 6, was canceled due to persistent weather conditions in Brookings, South Dakota. Both teams completed the first 45 minutes of regulation before lightning in the area forced a halftime delay. At the time of the cancellation, South Dakota State led 1-0 following a 37th-minute goal from freshman Stella Braddock, who scored on a header off a corner kick by Deizha Lyn Jacinto. The match will not count toward the official record for either team. South Dakota State now prepares for two road matches in Utah, beginning with a game against Weber State at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday in Ogden.
