Southend United add Promise Omochere on season-long loan from Bristol Rovers

Southend United have signed forward Promise Omochere on a season-long loan from League Two side Bristol Rovers. The 25-year-old moves to the Shrimpers following a tenure at Bristol Rovers that included 39 appearances and six goals. Omochere began his professional career with Irish club Bohemians before moving to Fleetwood Town in 2022, where he recorded 13 goals in 71 appearances. Shrimpers manager Kieron Dyer identified Omochere as a player who provides a different physical option at the top of the pitch. The club intends for the forward to bolster their attacking depth for the current campaign. This acquisition marks the latest roster move for the team as they look to strengthen their squad composition.
