Southern Conference evaluates off-season transfer portal moves

With the transfer portal now closed, an evaluation of the Southern Conference recruiting efforts is underway. A record 75 players have moved on from the conference as programs adjust to significant roster changes. New member Tennessee Tech will join the Southern Conference this July, aiming to revitalize its basketball program under recently appointed head coach Tobin Anderson. The previous season was challenging for Tennessee Tech, finishing ninth in the OVC and missing the conference tournament. Injuries plagued the Chattanooga Mocs last season, impacting their performance despite being the reigning SoCon regular-season champions.
