Southern Miss baseball adds pitcher Luke Williams from East Central CC

Southern Miss baseball has added pitcher Luke Williams, a recent transfer from East Central Community College, as part of its offseason roster changes. Williams announced his commitment on June 28. In the 2026 season, he pitched in 19 games, achieving a record of 4-1, with an ERA of 3.49 and 90 strikeouts in 56.2 innings. He also played 40 games in the infield, hitting.313 with eight RBIs. Williams is the second pitcher acquired this offseason, joining a class that includes players from other colleges. Southern Miss has also seen several players announce their transfers away from the program.
