Southern Miss football players Greg Nunnery, Aloali'i Maui, and Jameer Lewis received a temporary restraining order allowing them to play in 2026. The court's decision followed a petition challenging the NCAA's new eligibility rules that excluded recently graduated seniors from an extra year. All three players participated in team practices following a preliminary injunction granted earlier in Colorado which the NCAA attempted to appeal.
