Southern New Hampshire University selects Brooks McQuade as new hockey coach

Summary

Southern New Hampshire University hired Brooks McQuade as its new head hockey coach on April 6, 2026. This comes after a challenging 2025-26 season where the team finished with a record of 5-14-1, their worst since 2011-12. Following concerns leading to the administrative leave of athletics director Anthony Fallacaro and head coach Sean Walsh, interim leadership was established with Tricia Cote and interim head coaches Chris Moquin and Matt Osgood. The team is now looking to recover with a roster largely intact, bolstered by incoming freshman Nolan Nemecek, who had a standout season in junior hockey. The Penmen aim to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
