Sparks claim Aaliyah Nye off waivers, release Martin and Pili

The Los Angeles Sparks have claimed Aaliyah Nye off waivers from the Atlanta Dream as the 2026 season nears its end. Nye, who played 19 games this season, joins the Sparks after being cut by two teams this year. In corresponding moves, the Sparks waived Kate Martin and Alissa Pili, who averaged 2.3 and 2.0 points per game, respectively. The Sparks also signed Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda to a developmental deal. The team currently holds a 14-25 record and resumes play against the Storm on Sunday.
