Sparks sign Alissa Pili to developmental deal, waive Laura Ziegler

The Los Angeles Sparks have signed Alissa Pili to a player developmental contract as they resume play on July 6, 2026. Head coach Lynne Roberts announced the signing during practice, confirming that Pili has been with the team since early June while rehabilitating from an injury. Laura Ziegler has been waived to make room for Pili. Ziegler played three games for the Sparks, averaging 2.7 points. Pili was previously with the Sparks last season, averaging 3.2 points over five games after being selected by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She is currently day-to-day as she has not yet been medically cleared to play.
