Spencer Turtz claims victory at 2026 Wisconsin Amateur Championship

Spencer Turtz, alumnus of the University of Wisconsin Badgers, won the 125th Wisconsin Amateur Championship held at West Bend Country Club on July 23, 2026. Turtz finished the tournament with a score of 3-over 287 after a final round of 2-over 73. Starting the final day as a co-leader, Turtz secured his win when playing partner Ricky Kuiper encountered trouble with a double-bogey on the 17th hole. Turtz made a crucial birdie on the 15th hole, helping him maintain a lead. Following his victory, Turtz expressed excitement about the win as it marked his first individual championship in Wisconsin. He plans to pursue graduate studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
