Spokane community supports young racer Willow Geren after fires

The Spokane racing community gathered at Qlispé Raceway Park to support 12-year-old racer Willow Geren following the loss of her home in the Old Trails Fire. Local racers offered their cars, enabling her to get back on the track. A drag race event raised $1,000 to assist the Geren family during this difficult time. Willow's father, Nick Geren, expressed gratitude for the community's support and emphasized that their efforts helped Willow feel normal despite the tragedy. Organizer Dylan Almeida reflected on the importance of community support, sharing his own similar experience in the racing world.
