Sporting Jax hosts Tampa Bay in women's home opener tonight

Sporting Jax women's soccer faces off against Tampa Bay Sun in their home opener at Hodges Stadium, University of North Florida, at 7 p.m. on August 22. Following a Week 1 victory against Fort Lauderdale United, where Baylee DeSmit scored a decisive free kick, Sporting Jax enters the match in second place. Tampa Bay’s season began with a 1-1 draw against Dallas Trinity. Last year, Sporting Jax went 2-0-1 against Tampa Bay, highlighted by midfielder Ashlyn Puerta's three goals over those matches.
