Springfield hosts 22nd annual Kid’Athlon mini-triathlon this Saturday

Children ages 5 to 12 will compete in the 22nd annual Kid’Athlon at Chesterfield Park and Family Center this Saturday. The event features a mini-triathlon format including swimming, biking, and running segments with age-appropriate distances. Organizers are implementing staggered start times, separate transition areas, and a one-way bicycle route to manage logistics. Participants will receive a T-shirt, medal, and other items upon completion. Registration remains open through September 10, with packet pickup scheduled for September 11 at the Chesterfield Family Center. Parks staff will handle race timing for all participants.
