St. Cloud State hockey pioneer Bill Radovich passes at 92

Bill Radovich, a significant figure in St. Cloud State University athletics, died at age 92. He served as Vice President of Administrative Affairs from 1973 to 1993 and was instrumental in moving the men’s hockey program to Division I. His efforts led to the establishment of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, dedicated in 1990. Radovich was inducted into the St. Cloud State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017. He also established a scholarship for men’s hockey players that continues to be awarded each year.
