St. Joseph football teammates Zaccagnino and Kilmartin share religious bond

St. Joseph football seniors Will Zaccagnino and Finn Kilmartin maintain a connection that extends beyond the field. Zaccagnino serves as the godfather to Kilmartin, who converted to Catholicism during his sophomore year of high school. The two players, both from Shelton, have served as core members of the St. Joseph program over the last two seasons. Zaccagnino is a lineman committed to Wisconsin, while Kilmartin, a linebacker, plans to continue his playing career at Middlebury. The pair were both named to the New Haven Register/GametimeCT All-State teams last season and are recognized as two of the 50 players to watch for the current campaign.
