St Kilda defender Bianca Jakobsson has changed her jumper number to 35 for the current AFLW season. Jakobsson, who wore the number throughout her junior career and early professional tenure, stated the switch serves as a personal connection to her late father, Ken, who passed away in 2023. The 33-year-old previously played in number 8 for the Saints but sought to return to her original number to conclude her career. This transition coincided with her 75th AFLW match, held last weekend against Sydney. The club remains winless through three rounds of the 2026 season. During that same match, teammate Alice Burke sustained a knee injury, with subsequent medical scans confirming an ACL tear that will sideline her for the remainder of the year.
