St. Louis CITY SC acquired midfielder Charles-Emile Brunet on loan from Nashville SC for the remainder of the 2026 season. The deal includes a purchase option and requires St. Louis to send $50,000 in General Allocation Money to Nashville. Brunet signed his first professional contract before the 2026 campaign and has logged seven appearances for Nashville this season. He also played six games for Huntsville City SC, the organization's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate. St. Louis sporting director Corey Wray stated the move adds midfield depth as the club prepares for the final stretch of the season. St. Louis currently holds sixth place in the Western Conference with 34 points and is on a 12-game unbeaten streak. Nashville leads the Supporters' Shield standings with 52 points.
