St. Louis CITY SC acquired striker Rafael Navarro from the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday in a multi-million dollar trade. The 26-year-old Brazilian joins St. Louis as a Designated Player, signing a contract that runs through the 2029-30 season with an option for the following year. As part of the agreement, the Colorado Rapids receive $12 million in cash, up to $250,000 in conditional compensation, and retain a sell-on percentage. Navarro, who served as a leading scorer for Colorado during the 2026 season with 10 goals, is expected to join the St. Louis attacking rotation immediately. This acquisition follows other roster changes for St. Louis, which recently moved midfielders Marcel Hartel and Eduard Löwen. The Rapids continue to reshape their squad under the club’s current game model following the departure of Lucas Herrington earlier this summer.
