St. Thomas Aquinas running back Tyler Reid earns weekly playmaker award

St. Thomas Aquinas running back Tyler Reid received the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 Playmaker of the Week award following his performance on September 4. The Pitt commit recorded 324 yards on 13 carries and scored all four of his team's touchdowns in a 31-24 victory against Columbus. The top-ranked Raiders held off a second-half rally from the Explorers, which saw the game tied at 24-24 with six minutes remaining in the contest. Reid broke the tie on the following drive with an 80-yard rushing touchdown to seal the win for St. Thomas Aquinas. His four-touchdown performance included a 63-yard run, a receiving score, and two 80-yard touchdown runs. The result maintained the undefeated status of the Raiders within the national rankings.
