Stanley Cup Final viewership reaches highest level since 2019

The 2026 Stanley Cup Final between the Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights averaged 5.2 million viewers across six games, making it the most-watched Final since 2019. This year's series more than doubled last year's average of 2.55 million viewers. Game 6 attracted an average of 5.9 million viewers, peaking at 7.2 million. ABC experienced a seven-year high in viewership for every game of the series. The increase in viewership is attributed partly to increased interest following the U.S. men's hockey team's gold medal run at the Winter Olympics earlier this year.
