Stark County athletes compete at AAU Track and Field Junior Olympics

Athletes from Stark County, including Canton, North Canton, Massillon, and Perry, are participating in the AAU Track and Field Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa, this week. The competition involves young athletes in grades 3-6, running from August 4 through August 7. Competitors include Karsyn Horne in the 100, 200, and 400 meters, and Christian Harsh in the 100, 200, and long jump. Moriah Papacostas is the top-ranked 11-year-old in the 80 hurdles nationally. Athletes aim for strong performances in a highly competitive environment.
