Steel City Youth Football League suspends coaches following altercations during game

The Steel City Youth Football League suspended two coaches indefinitely following a fight during a youth football game on Saturday between Carlynton and Keystone Oaks. The altercation, which was captured on video, remains under investigation as league officials review referee reports and witness statements. Dequay Canton, head coach of the Carlynton Little Cougars, issued a statement claiming the incident followed the use of racial slurs directed at his players by opposing team members. Canton alleged the confrontation began after referees failed to address the reported verbal abuse. Beyond the two indefinite suspensions issued by the league, individual football organizations have suspended five additional coaches involved in the incident. Keystone Oaks has not released a public statement regarding the event or the subsequent disciplinary measures.
