Steelers commit to quarterback Will Howard despite preseason struggles

The Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to retain quarterback Will Howard following his performance in the preseason loss to the New York Jets on August 21. Despite throwing two interceptions and completing 10 of 15 passes for 74 yards, team insiders report he is secure on the roster. Coach Mike McCarthy will finalize his quarterback selections after the last preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, but sources indicate both Howard and Drew Allar will remain with the team. This decision reflects the Steelers' confidence in Howard's future regardless of his recent struggles.
