Steelers consider trade for Budda Baker to strengthen defense

Summary

The Pittsburgh Steelers are contemplating a trade for Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker as they aim to enhance their defense for the 2026 season. Following a challenging 2025 year, where the Steelers ranked poorly in pass defense, acquiring Baker could provide a significant boost. Baker, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, has displayed consistent performance, including 120 tackles last season. Currently, the Steelers have reinforced their roster with new offensive and defensive players, including wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. The team might face tough decisions as Baker's contract presents both opportunities and challenges going forward.
