Steelers could trade Alex Highsmith to Panthers after Scourton injury

Summary

The Pittsburgh Steelers might target a trade with the Carolina Panthers following a critical injury to edge rusher Nic Scourton, who tore his ACL during training camp. With Scourton out for the season, the Panthers may seek to fortify their defense and have reportedly considered Alex Highsmith as a viable option. Highsmith, coming off a 9.5 sack season, has been linked to trade rumors amid speculation regarding his contract extension. The Steelers could ask for a second-round draft pick in exchange for Highsmith, potentially benefiting both teams as they look to remain competitive in their respective divisions.
