Steelers depth chart shows Eli Heidenreich as co-RB5 entering preseason

Summary

The Pittsburgh Steelers released their first depth chart for the 2026 season, featuring rookie Eli Heidenreich listed as co-RB5 alongside Travis Homer. Heidenreich, selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, faces competition from Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle, Kaleb Johnson, and Lew Nichols to secure a spot on the 53-man roster. Despite high expectations due to his college success at Navy, Heidenreich’s path to playing time will require surpassing others on the depth chart.
