Steelers host youth football camp to open the season

The Steelers held a youth football camp Tuesday evening at the new stadium at Hazelwood Green. Approximately 200 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 participated in drills, workouts, and flag football games. The event served as a community celebration preceding the Steelers’ upcoming season opener. Mike Marchinsky, the director of alumni relations and football development for the team, noted that the organization intends to host additional free camps throughout the season. Each child who attended the session received a commemorative T-shirt for the kick-off week. The team prepares for its first regular-season game against the Falcons this Sunday.
