Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson aims for roster spot under McCarthy

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson is working to secure a roster position as the 2026 season approaches. After a difficult rookie year, Johnson is looking to showcase versatility under new head coach Mike McCarthy. He is focusing on kick and punt returns to add value to his skillset, a critical area after previous struggles. The Steelers currently have a competitive backfield led by Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle, making Johnson's path uncertain but full of potential. He will aim to prove himself during training camp, particularly in special teams roles.
