The Pittsburgh Steelers have released veteran defensive back Makari Paige ahead of mandatory minicamp scheduled to begin on June 3. This move comes as the team has signed former Buffalo Bills safety Darnell Savage. Paige joined the Steelers on May 13 after previously being signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent. The Steelers will also focus on contract negotiations with players Nick Herbig and Joey Porter Jr. during minicamp.
