Steelers release QB rotation ahead of preseason matchup with Packers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will not play Aaron Rodgers during their preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. Pittsburgh plans to divide quarterback duties among Mason Rudolph, Drew Allar, and Will Howard. Rudolph will start and play one or two series before Allar takes over for the remainder of the first half. Howard is expected to play all of the second half. The decision allows head coach Mike McCarthy to evaluate young quarterbacks against the Packers' reserves.
