Steelers release wide receiver Brandon Johnson, sign punter Aidan Laros

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the release of veteran wide receiver Brandon Johnson on June 9, 2026. Johnson joined the Steelers in August 2024 after being cut by the Denver Broncos and played in three games during the 2024 season. He spent 2025 on the practice squads of both the Steelers and Buccaneers and rejoined Pittsburgh in April 2026. In a corresponding move, the Steelers have claimed punter Aidan Laros off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
