Steelers sign safety Darnell Savage to one-year deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran safety Darnell Savage to a one-year, $1.5 million contract. Savage, a former first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, joins the team after stints with the Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills. He recorded his best season in 2020, totaling 75 tackles and four interceptions. In a corresponding move, the Steelers waived defensive back Makari Paige, who had recently joined the team after going undrafted in 2025.
