Steelers update salary cap after Keeanu Benton contract extension

The extension comes as the team still needs to negotiate with cornerback Joey Porter Jr. Despite the low cap figure, the team's general manager Omar Khan can explore options such as trades or restructures to create additional space. Alongside Benton, the Steelers have also signed extensions for edge rusher Nike Herbig and tight end Darnell Washington this offseason.
