Stefon Diggs joins Commanders, aims to boost Jayden Daniels' progress

Summary

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders, worth up to $12 million, as he joins an offense led by third-year quarterback Jayden Daniels. Diggs has a history of helping young quarterbacks progress, having previously worked with Teddy Bridgewater, Josh Allen, and others. Coach Dan Quinn praised Diggs for his impressive football IQ and adaptability in a new system. With Daniels coming off a rookie record of 3,568 passing yards in 2024, the pairing of Diggs and fellow wide receiver Terry McLaurin may enhance the Commanders' offensive potential as they prepare to start the season against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 13.
