Stefon Diggs joins Commanders and starts practice in Ashburn

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was introduced at the Washington Commanders' facility in Ashburn on August 6, 2026. He has agreed to a one-year contract for the upcoming season after expressing interest in playing for the team, where he started his career. Diggs is expected to practice with the team for the first time on August 7. His addition provides quarterback Jayden Daniels with a significant target and strengthens the receiving corps alongside Terry McLaurin. The Commanders will have joint practices with the Miami Dolphins leading up to their preseason opener next week.
