Stefon Diggs signs one-year deal with Commanders to join Jayden Daniels
Summary

Stefon Diggs is set to join the Washington Commanders on a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, as reported on August 5, 2026. The addition of the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver provides quarterback Jayden Daniels with a crucial No. 2 target alongside two-time Pro Bowl receiver Terry McLaurin. Diggs, released by the New England Patriots due to escalating cap hits, led the Patriots in receiving yards with 1,013 and a catch rate of 83.3% in 2025. His signing aims to address the Commanders' need for a reliable receiving threat early in training camp.
