Stephanie McMahon has revealed what happened to her oldest daughter’s plans to pursue a career in professional wrestling. Speaking to Becky Lynch on the latest episode of her What’s Your Story? podcast, Stephanie suggested her daughter changed her mind about wrestling following Vince McMahon’s departure from WWE in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations. In November 2021, my colleague Sean Rueter wrote about how Stephanie and Triple H’s oldest daughter, Aurora Rose, had started in-ring training with the hopes of one day replacing grandfather Vince as the head of WWE. “We have three daughters, Triple H and I do, they are 15, 13 and 11,” Stephanie said during an interview with talkSPORT at the time. “Our oldest said when she was eight years old, ‘Momma, I don’t want your job. Daddy, I don’t want your job. I want Pop’s [Vince McMahon] job. “So, just like her grandfather, she wants to be the boss, so we’ll see what happens with my oldest daughter who has already started training in the ring.“ While speaking to Lynch in the podcast episode that dropped this week, Stephanie shared that Aurora had even been in a wrestling ring with Natalya and Charlotte Flair. However, she indicated her daughter ultimately shifted her career ambitions after her grandad’s scandal. Vince, the former WWE CEO and majority owner, has been accused of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. Her lawsuit contains multiple disturbing details about the former WWE boss. His resignation from TKO Group Holdings, which formed in 2023 when WWE merged with UFC, was announced in January 2024 soon after Grant filed the lawsuit. Stephanie seemingly implied the fallout from Vince’s departure led Aurora to instead pursue a career in physical therapy. “Well, Aurora used to want to (get into wrestling), and she even got in the ring with Nattie and Charlotte (Flair). She rolled around a little bit,” McMahon told Lynch. She continued: “But then, everything kind of happened with my dad and me leaving, and it was an awkward time. Like right in the time that she would’ve really been making her decision.” Even still, McMahon said her daughter could someday shift her focus back to the family business. “She still could (work in wrestling), but her mind right now is on getting her doctorate in PT,” McMahon said.
