Gonsalves, a former top-100 prospect, concludes his career with 1,001 strikeouts and had stints with five major-league organizations, including notable time in Minnesota and Boston. He struggled with command throughout his career, and his last major-league outings came in 2021. Gonsalves began his career after being drafted by the Twins in 2013 and had also played for the Rockies and Dodgers organizations before his time in Mexico.
