Stetson Bennett played for the Los Angeles Rams during a preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on August 22, 2026. His performance raised questions about his viability for the Rams' 53-man roster, as he struggled with accuracy on longer passes and completed most throws on short routes. Despite rushing for two touchdowns, critics believe Bennett's overall play has not been sufficient to secure his position. The Rams may consider cutting him and placing him on the practice squad, with potential other teams unlikely to express interest.
