Steve McManaman addresses Trent Alexander-Arnold progress at Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid player Steve McManaman maintains that Trent Alexander-Arnold is adapting well to life in Spain despite a difficult opening season at the club. McManaman cites recurring injury issues as the primary reason for the defender's lack of impact during the previous campaign. He notes that the England international remains settled in Madrid and is expected to play a more consistent role this year. Meanwhile, McManaman expressed that current manager Jose Mourinho faces significant pressure to finish ahead of Barcelona. The former midfielder emphasized that success for the current squad will be determined by winning trophies rather than individual performances, distinguishing this group from the historic Galacticos era that prioritized collective achievement. The club currently awaits results to see if the integration of key players like Kylian and Vinícius produces the intended success.
