Following a controversial urination celebration by defensive end Colin Simmons, Sarkisian deemed the behavior "unacceptable" and emphasized the need for players to maintain composure and respect. Simmons, who recorded five and a half sacks during the game, apologized after the incident. Sarkisian noted that while celebrations are part of the game, they must be done in a manner that does not demean opponents. Texas is currently in a bye week before facing Oklahoma on October 10.
