Steven Pressley calls quiet schedule a benefit for depleted Dundee squad

Dundee manager Steven Pressley described the club's sparse match schedule as a blessing in disguise as he manages a significant injury crisis. Following an exit from the League Cup and an upcoming international break, the team will play only one fixture until October 10. The squad currently faces long-term absences for midfielders Finlay Robertson and Jack Moorhouse, along with strikers Simon Murray, Joe Westley, and Ash Hay. Midfielder Zan Besir is also currently serving a suspension. Pressley intends to use the five-week gap to integrate new signings, including a goalkeeper and two forwards, while addressing tactical deficiencies identified during the first six games of the season.
