Sting participates in Ice Bucket Challenge supporting Rebel

It was just a few months ago that Rebel revealed she finally learned what was causing her various health issues over the past couple years after she was diagnosed with ALS. AEW quickly showed support while sending her love on television, and many have taken up doing the Ice Bucket Challenge to continue to raise awareness. The latest is Sting, who made it fun like only he can: Still working on that December 1997 tan! But happy to put that on pause to support our friend Rebel. 👊🏼🦂 Learn more about how to support ALS by visiting: 🖤 https://t.co/bK1xcbrkn8#IceBucketChallenge pic.twitter.com/IRgc5xrrt5 — Sting (@Sting) July 22, 2026 Sting’s daughter, Gracie, approaches him to ask what he’s doing and he says “it’s obvious, I’m trying to get a tan.” In the actual post, he calls it that “December 1997 tan,” a fantastic inside baseball reference to claims, repeated by the likes of then WCW boss Eric Bischoff, that the reason Starrcade 1997 and his infamous match against Hulk Hogan was booked so poorly is because Bischoff and Hogan felt he wasn’t in the right condition to put him over clean. Part of the problem is that he wasn’t tan enough. Or something. It was all very silly. Even better, he’s doing it in full face paint. I love this man. I love the message too. Learn more here.
