Stolen Coventry City crest returns home after two decades abroad

A Coventry City Football Club plaque has been returned to its home city following a 22-year absence. The emblem was originally taken from a Highfield Road restaurant by Manchester City supporters after a 4-3 match in 2001. The plaque was later transported to Norway, where it spent years in a Bergen pub before being rescued by fan Steve Walker. Walker kept the item for two decades, pledging to return it once the club regained its top-flight status. Following Coventry City's return to the Premier League, Walker delivered the plaque to long-time friend Graham Brooks. The club is currently considering including the piece in a future permanent exhibition at its arena.
